Held exclusively for leaders of our Africa-based and Africa-focused partner organizations, ON Baraza is designed to help you expand your individual and organizational success. You will have the opportunity to refine key business and leadership skills, assess pre-market ideas in a confidential forum, and expand your network of peers from across the continent.

To achieve these goals, come prepared to participate in interactive workshops with immediate application to your organization; take advantage of ample time for meeting other leaders in the Omidyar Network portfolio; and learn alongside some of Africa's most creative and innovative entrepreneurs.

ON Baraza 2013 starts the afternoon of Monday, 30 September and concludes Tuesday night, 1 October. We are pleased to host you for evening receptions and dinner on both days.

Omidyar Network, in collaboration with African Leadership Network, is convening leaders from diverse regions, sectors and backgrounds to learn about and share effective solutions for strengthening local entrepreneurial ecosystems. Our goal is to drive cross-sector collaboration to accelerate Africa's entrepreneur economy.

Building on the recommendations set forth in the Accelerating Entrepreneurship in Africa report, issued by Omidyar Network in collaboration with Monitor Group, the Summit is designed to move from insights to action. Through panel discussions and interactive sessions, we will:

  • Explore the application of practical regional and international approaches to advance entrepreneurship
  • Address the opportunities and challenges of developing pro-entrepreneurship policies
  • Highlight successful policies and entrepreneurs that are helping lay the groundwork for African entrepreneurship to thrive

Join us for this important discussion. Together, we can drive greater prosperity and realize the positive transformation of Africa through entrepreneurship.
